Places to Stay

There are nice places, and there are reasonable places.All of them can be found in a phone book, at hotels.com, or whatever online booking site you prefer.

Nice places:

  • Holiday Inn Express
  • Best Western (nicest pool in town)

Decent, less pricey places:

  • Super 8
  • Comfort Inn
  • Howard Johnson

Though I've only actually stayed at the Best Western, I haven't heard anything particularly horrible about the others. Alternatively, we can find you some floor space if you prefer, but we can't guarantee comfort. The couch is currently spoken for.

Plenty of Free Parking!

From Albuquerque:

  1. Take I-25 South to exit 150 - Socorro
  2. Immediately upon exiting, move to the far left lane. Careful: There may be cars coming in over your left shoulder as you make your way to the red light.
  3. At the red light, turn left on to the overpass.
  4. At the end of the overpass, turn right onto the frontage road.
  5. Take the third left into Eastwood Estates. This is Melody Lane S.
  6. Continue down the road until you cross the irrigation ditch (and see the street light)
  7. We are the first house on the right after the street light.
