Not being one who is content to just sit by the sidelines, I’ve decided to lend some of my cat or is that nerf? herder skills to this years DragonCon.  (can’t believe its only 2 months way)  My assignment is to round up all the Rebel Legion costume members for the Saturday morning parade.  The parade steps off at 10am, and last year was covered by CNN.  Last year there were ~1400 costumes and 20+ cars.  The parade is open to the public so get to downtown Atlanta early to catch a glimpse of thousands of geeks on parade(including yours truley)
On a side note we have finished booking the last of our travel plans for this, and ironcily I think travel time will be about the same thanks to catching a direct Delta Flight.

So I finally broke down and got a new mp3 player.  This is the first one I bought that was actually still new in the box.  The physical size is great(its about the size of a nano, just a wee bit thicker) and it stores 8gigs of stuff.  Plus its got an expansion slot. I’ve been pretty happy with it so far(as soon as I got rid of the crappy headphones that came with it)

It does come with a pretty good built in scam.  It’s made by Sandisk, which makes lot of memory cards, so naturally they included a slot for adding extra storage.

So final score. Built in recorder, radio user replaceable battery and expansion slot. All for alot less than a similar size/capacity ipod. A good deal in my book.
