Can’t believe its been 2 weeks already. Here’s a check list of stuff done:

1. Got settled into new job which while kinda odd is a freshing change in work pace.  And so far its really enjoyable working, not only with my team but rest of staff.

2. Caught up with most of old friends, and it almost feels like there was no break.  started our weekly Friday lunch which ended up with our sides hurting from too much laughter.
3. Put the Jeep through some light paces, even slipped her into 4 high while out Geo-caching.

4.  Made an offer on a house in Socorro.  Now if we can get NC house sold I can be once again be reunited with the thing I miss the most,  my gaming computer, my big screen TV..my rabbits, my wife. yes definitely the wife, although if should get the rest of that stuff that would be cool.

So at about 1pm local time I pulled into town.  Walked in introduced myself to the receptionist(who thinks I’m pretty funny) got intercepted by Kscott, waved at Stephan and got shown around by James(boss).  Checked into my “room” at the visitor quarters.  Now since I am getting to stay here for free I really can’t complain, but I am anyways.  In the plus column they do provide linens, internet in the room,  lounge room with full kitchen and laundry facilities.  But the only entertainment is a tv in the lounge(with a vcr) and some old paperback novels. So there is nothing else in my room but a bed and an oddly sized desk/chair.(Chair is way to short of the desk)

Had a beer at Cap, and dinner at brew pub and now trying to figure out how to use laptop comfortably in the room.  Local time is 9:30 and I feel wiped.(2 hour time difference and 3 days hard driving will do that)

None of this feels real yet.. not sure when it will.

So its not really a wagon, but it what I got.  The house is now cleaned and ready to be listed.  Jeep has been serviced and ready for travel.  Furniture mover estimate is complete(and we are way under)  Much trash has been removed from the house.  New digital camera charged and ready.
Tomorrow: quick run to the dump, bank, pick up some travel supplies and then pack up some basic stuff.

Planning on rolling out 9am Wednesday.  I am kinda freaking out right now.  Not sure why… I wasn’t this nervous when I moved out here 8 years ago.  Good thing wife is ready, and i’ve got friends on both ends of the trip willing to help out.

So I today marks the completion of my 35th trip around the sun, and I spent it making a couple runs to the dump and cleaning the garage.  With the upcoming trip and move not really much time for anything else.  Its funny as I get older milestone celebrations seem to get overshadowed by moving events, and not the gee that moves me to tears but more like put that crap in boxes so can put it somewhere else.  My 30th got swallowed by a gigantic company move, and 35 seems to be about packing all our stuff so we can go back to NM.
