OOOhhh AHHH 3.2 and mysql now on a blog… to bad I can figure out how to migrate my old stuff yet…
So we just got back this week from our latest trip.(Please note I have now made a travel category. We actually went back to Socorro NM. Thats right the place, that for 8 years drove me both crazy and happy.
We spent the time eating all the yummy NM food, its just too bad we were a little early for the chile(yes that is spelled right) season. Caught up on the lives of old friends not seen in a while. Its was kinda odd how people seemed to rearrange the schedule to see us again. We really felt loved and touched. I was amused by the number of conversations we had about installing new roofs and floors.(yea we are most definately grown ups) We were also treated to some spectacular thunderstorms.
One of the side motives of the trip was to see if we could still stand living back out west. NC is losing its charm quickly and work is becoming less and less interesting for me, to put it mildly.
Well it turns out that if given the choice between NM and NC we would both rather live in NM. The town has grown a bit, on-line retailers have made ordering stuff much easier, and we have built up our resources to handle such a lifestyle change(ie we both have reliable cars now). The only thing stopping us?… jobs. I have started to hit the payment and contacting people in a quest for employment.
The good news is that even if we don’t make it out permenately we do know that we get to go back again this spring, for a wedding.
Well we are now testing new blog software. It will work? who knows. I can tell I don’t like the the new imput screen, but that might be a configuration error.

So at first glance the jeep does not look any bigger. But the new 1″ body lift has been installed. James and I were able to knock it out in one day with out too much trouble. the 11 mounts went in no problem, the transmission braket went in with no problem. The new screw holes in the fan shroud now that was an issue. In the end an old soldering iron and a pocket knife got the job done. I will post some picts up so you can see what it was like.
UPDATE!!!
I know have photos the the process. Check it out
