Brains….

I always enjoy a good or even sometimes bad zombie movie. and latest from Romero “Land of the Dead” is pretty good. It does answer what happens once the battle lines between undead and the living stablize. There are 3 groups in this one. Our heroe’s Party, the zombies and the weathly cartel that controls most of the city(lead by Dennis Hooper)

I found myself rooting for the zombies(they are getting smarter and useing tools) my favorite was called Number 9(girl softball player) She caries the bat through most if not all of the movie.

Not great but not bad…if you like zombie movies then Romero does not disapoint.

Oh and on a side note. When a start time says 10PM I expect a couple of trailers, the movie courtesy short and then my movie so you get like 5-10 minutes tops. It was 20 minutes before we acutally saw opening credits to this picture.

Holy awesome movie batman!

So in a spur of moment we caught Batman Begins Sunday.

and if you read my wife’s blog already you know she thinks it rocked, and I completely agree with her. Its good enough to see again, its good enough to own the future DVD.

They did comic book story with out doing it campy, The writing and acting are such that it came off flawlessly, with one exception, Katie Homes. That woman couldn’t hold candle to the rest of cast so she is kept to a minium. The cooliest part of the movie is the Batmobile. It lack the silly battiness of past modes of transportation, and just kicked butt. Function over form will always win over my engineering heart.

The golden era of support

So after having dinner with some people I have not seen or had dinner with fr a while, one of them created a website(See links on the lower left) It was kinda interesting to do a quick scan to see what everone has been up to since those heady days together.

At one point in my life once you were out of site you became out of mind. But as CoH and the links throught out this site show that is no longer true.

I guess I can blame the internet, or wife unit for the change, either way

welcome back friends missed.

answer: Rock, Roll and Rythm

and the question is: What are the nick names of three satellites I now care very much about. Yes we broke down and got XM radio service. Apparently the bird that will be called Blues is scheduled for launch in 2007.

So we now have over 150 radio stations. So far the favorites are the Movie Soundtrack station, the 80’s station and the 2 radio drama stations.(one re-broad casts old radio shows, the other produces new dramas.) Looking forward to the traffic/weather station for DC on our first trip north.

Installation at home was easy all we needed to was plug in cables and point reciever south. Jeep installation was a bit harder, since instructions recommend the roof or trunk of the automobile and the jeep has neither. Fortunately the front fender location seems to be prefect, and the built-in FM module picks up on my radio with little problem.

Other cool features include the ability to listen to many of the stations on line(currently listening: The Last of Mohicans Soundtrack) And they said their service was incompatible with Linux Ha I say.
