Reason with a Hurricane Season

Well if you ever wondered why the NHL hockey team in North Carolina is called the Hurricanes, you have never spent a summer here. We have, to some extent, been exposed to just about ever tropical storm to hit the US mainland this season. Hurrican Alex brushed our coast and swamped Ocrakoke Island. Bonnie’s engergy cause some flash floods and a couple of tornadoes. Charle(while devestating Fl) still left his mark on the eastern half of the state. Gaston seem to pop up almost from nothing off the South Carolina coast Friday night and should be here Monday. So while this is going on Hurricane Frances is now building to a strong class 4 and is making her way west towards the Bahamas. For lastest on our stormy season check out NOAA.

I still say that it beats any Blizzard/Snow Storm New England ever threw at me.

How I spent my summer vacation

So vacation with the family was something. Got to do some shopping and picked up some great sea plane prints, a small wooden sea plane model and a couple of shirts. Melissa finally got her first coach purse and matching accessories.(Glad she is starting work soon, cause dang that was one heck of a purse) Ate some wonderful food included a resturant called Windmill Point. Got sunburned on the top of my feet the last full day we were there. It has finally healed so it no longer hurts to put on socks and shoes.

And yes it was good to see all the family.

I shot a fair amount of video, so I will see if I can edit it and put some photo grabs up in the gallery section.
