the Goldin Summer Vacation

Well I am about to head out for a week in the Outer Banks with the entire family. Kind a wierd since we never did any of this kind of stuff when I was a kid.

I hope it does not turn out like the brady’s hawaiian vacation, I would hate to be crused by a tiki idol.

details and photos to follow.

New and Improved look

So after much style sheet and color palette playing later. I have finally gotten rid of the the boring default sheet for the blog. I even added links to 2 of the people who were indirectly responsible for me getting this blog up in the first place. Melissa commented that it was very much me, which is her polite way of saying it was boring. But as I have said to my more artistic friends many times before, you want to fix computers, hang drywall, replace alternators with a multi-tool next in a convience store parking lot, I am your guy. Want something creative call anyone else. But I am taking suggestions on the new look, so tell me what you think.

Not much else is going on execpt my bike is getting a long over due overhaul, including a new rear wheel. Figured if I am going to bring it to the beach next weekend I might as well get it back up to fighting shape.

I guess I can check the travel box

Ok so you know when you fill out those dumb marketing cards and they ask you about your interests and hobbies. I usually just glance over it, picking like TV or computers it they exist. But I think the Travel Channel has done its evil work. I am 12 days out from a beach week with my dad,(which is weird cause we never really took family vacations when I was a kid so this could be “entertaining”) and I just booked my second vacation. This time going to Universal Studios in Fl. I picked Oct so we could experience their halloween special.

and why do so many of my posts here or emails start with the words “Ok”?

its wrap

As another week draws to a close all I can say about it is, its been all over the place. The first of our 48 sessions together with the trainer left me with some rather tired calf muscles. BTW it seems only fair to mention that my begining physical stats were just ~192 lbs and 15% body fat which is according the “experts” the is just the high side of “normal” for a person of my age/size/gender.

The first of the trips to the repair my mouth was also completed. 2 composite fillings has left the the left side of my mouth feeling a little senstive and tender. But it beats cavities. I go back in 2 weeks for the next ones. Then its dun dun dunnn.. time to visit the oral surgeon.

I have discovered a perk of my job. I got to bend the ears of 2 of IBM senior VPs. And they were very interested in what I had to say. Atleast they appeared interested in what I had to say. If you told me 5 1/2 years ago that I could even draw that kind of crowd I would have said you were nuts.

and to top it off I just awoke from a pretty hard nap only to find the new version of “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre” on my big honking tv TM

Well I got to go d’hoffryn is trying to discontect this web server. A feat I might add he has already done once.
